Katrina Bedell Avers is a passionate advocate for our children, communities, and future. With a strong background in education, agriculture, aerospace, public safety, and business, Katrina has a unique perspective and the experience needed to lead.

As part of a long history of educators and current multi-year president of an Education Foundation, Katrina has always believed that our children are our greatest asset. She has worked tirelessly to support teachers, improve resources, and ensure every student has the opportunity to excel.

As a fifth-generation agricultural producer and business owner, Katrina understands the vital role agriculture plays in Oklahoma’s economy and the importance of connecting rural producers with urban consumers. She also recognizes the untapped potential in Oklahoma’s aerospace industry and is committed to ensuring the state remains a leader in this growing sector.

Katrina’s deep understanding of public safety comes from two decades of family sacrifice in law enforcement. She knows firsthand the challenges facing our law enforcement officers and their families, including staffing shortages and the need for better support.

A lifelong scientist and data-driven problem solver, Katrina approaches issues with innovative solutions and a focus on measurable outcomes. She brings an entrepreneurial spirit to everything she does, from founding Blackjack Legacy to serving on the Board of True Sky Federal Credit Union.
